  • This holiday season, give a gift that truly means something.
While most homes are filled with mass-produced décor from big-box stores, few are adorned with artwork that exists only once in the world. A handcrafted, one-of-a-kind piece doesn’t just decorate a wall—it tells a story, carries intention, and becomes part of someone’s home in a way no factory-made item ever can.

Every handmade piece, every brushstroke, every crafted item carries not only the maker’s skill and imagination but also the spirit of the community it comes from. When you invest in local art, you’re doing far more than purchasing something beautiful—you’re helping your community thrive. As a catalyst for community enrichment, the Center would offer a welcoming environment for residents, young and old, and visitors to experience diverse perspectives, discover local artists, participate in workshops and classes, boost local businesses, and engage in meaningful conversations. When you invest in local art, you’re doing far more than purchasing something beautiful—you’re helping your community thrive. The Ornament Fundraiser is new this year - ornaments made by our Sherman Artists Association members.

Come to the Sherman Senior Center and, for a donation of $10 or more, pick your favorite ornament while helping support our organization. #supportartists #ornaments #holiday #supportlocalartists
In a world full of mass-produced goods and fast shopping, choosing to buy local—and especially to support local artists—has a deeper impact than many people realize. Every handmade piece, every brushstroke, every crafted item carries not only the maker’s skill and imagination but also the spirit of the community it comes from. When you invest in local art, you’re doing far more than purchasing something beautiful—you’re helping your community thrive.
