People and Places: Exploring the Human Experience Through Photography

Photographer Terry Tougas will present People and Places, a photography project exploring the relationship between people and the environments that surround them. Through images of everyday life, Terry examines both the similarities and differences in our human experiences.
His photographs place individuals and communities in conversation with streets, landscapes, skylines, and interiors, inviting viewers to look beyond the subject and consider the world that frames them.
A photographer and woodworker, Terry spent more than 30 years as a scientist before pursuing a second career in the arts. His photographic work is influenced by the New Topographics movement and his studies with Sandi Haber Fifield.
