Happy Acres – Call for Artists

Farm Day is a great opportunity to introduce more people to the Sherman Artists Association, showcase our members’ talent, and support our 2026 fundraising efforts. This year, our goal is to raise $1,000 for the SAA through an art raffle—and we need your help!
DONATE ARTWORK TO OUR FARM DAY RAFFLE
SAA members are invited to donate one piece of artwork to be included in our Farm Day fundraising raffle. We hope to have at least 10 works of art available for visitors to win.
Artwork should be inspired by farm life, the countryside, rural landscapes, animals, nature, or a similar theme. We welcome both 2D and 3D artwork. Two-dimensional artwork must be wired and ready to hang and may not exceed 30 x 30 inches.
Artwork Submission Deadline: Sunday, September 20 at midnight

We need this information in advance to prepare publicity materials and artwork labels.
Each donated artwork will have its own raffle ticket container, allowing visitors to choose which piece they would like a chance to win. Tickets will be $5 each or 10 tickets for $40. We will draw winners at the end of Farm Day and notify them afterward. Winners do not need to be present to win.
Participating artists should plan to drop off their artwork at Happy Acres on Saturday, October 3 between 9:00 and 10:00 AM.
WE ALSO NEED VOLUNTEERS!
Farm Day is a team effort, and we’ll need SAA members to help us run our booth, sell raffle tickets, monitor the artwork, assist with the youth art project, and set up and break down our activation.
Shift 1 | 9:30 AM–1:00 PM
We need four volunteers to help with setup and, once Farm Day opens, sell raffle tickets, monitor the raffle, and support the youth art project.
Shift 2 | 1:00–4:30 PM
We need four volunteers to sell raffle tickets, monitor the raffle, assist with the youth art project, and help dismantle our setup at the end of the event.
We will also need help Saturday morning from 8:00–9:00 AM transporting and setting up two tents and nine art panels for the raffle display.
Whether you donate a piece of artwork, volunteer for a shift, help with setup, or simply stop by and support the event, we would love to have you be part of Farm Day.
