Great Hollow Juried Art Show

The ninth annual Great Hollow Juried Art Show fundraiser for Great Hollow Nature Preserve was open Friday, May 15, 6-8 pm; Saturday, May 16; and Sunday, May 17, 10 – 4 pm, at the Gate House Barn at Great Hollow. Fifty-nine painters and photographers who love nature have created over 160 artworks celebrating nature in and around Great Hollow Nature Preserve. This is our biggest show ever!! Sponsored by the Great Hollow Photographers Club, this is the ninth annual art show fundraiser for Great Hollow Nature Preserve. Judges for the artwork are Kelly Edwards for painting and Jane Haslam for photography.

Kelly Edwards is a watercolor and mixed media artist and owner of Arbor Gallery in Carmel, NY. She finds inspiration in the beauty of nature, Art Nouveau, and the watercolor medium itself. Her artwork has been exhibited at the LAND Gallery in Pawling, NY, and has been featured in Shows in Saugerties, NY; Brooklyn, NY; and Sherman, CT. Arbor Gallery is a dedicated haven for fine art, showcasing the talents of local artists. It features exhibitions spanning various media, including watercolor, acrylic, oil paintings, collage, photography, and mixed media. Jane Haslam is a photographer and owner of LAND Gallery in Pawling, NY. Her images capture the drama, unpredictability, and magnificence of the Catskills, Hudson Valley, and Housatonic Valley. They capture the emotional depth of nature across the ever-changing seasons. From soft pastels and dramatic skies to the stark beauty of winter and silent sunrises that few ever see, these images reveal a deep connection to place and an unrelenting pursuit of light.
