The Sherman Artists Association is proud to share that Linda Hubbard, President of our Board of Directors, has been honored with the Mary Rindfleisch Heart of the Arts Award from the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut. The award was presented at the Alliance’s 2026 Business Supports the Arts Awards Luncheon on Friday, October 9, at The Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury.

The Heart of the Arts Award recognizes long-term impact on the arts community. The committee pointed to Linda’s years of volunteer leadership, her generous mentorship of fellow artists, and her steady, behind-the-scenes work to strengthen the arts in our region.
Linda co-founded the Sherman Artists Association in 2021, and her energy and vision have guided its growth ever since. Through monthly meetings, exhibitions and community partnerships, she has helped build a welcoming home for artists at every stage.
In accepting the award, Linda said:
“Supporting and encouraging the artists in our communities is so important. Art adds to the quality of life, boosts our local economies, and nourishes our soul. In Sherman we have a wonderful organization of volunteers who give their time, effort and skills to build the Sherman Artists Association, and I’m honored to be part of it and receiving this award.”

Please join us in congratulating Linda on this well-deserved honor!
