The Sherman Library is pleased to announce a group show featuring the artists from the seventh Annual Great Hollow Juried Painting and Photography Show 2024. The winners, honorable mentions, and committee members have been invited to participate and share their love of nature celebrating the Great Hollow Nature Preserve through their depictions of wildlife and the beauty of the seasons. The opening reception will be Friday September 6, 2023, 6– 8pm. The exhibit will be on display at the Sherman Library from September 6 – October 9, 2024 both at the Library and on their website, www.ShermanLibrary.org.
The featured artists, using their paint brushes or cameras, have captured a swan’s serenity, the majestic stare of a coyote, the scary eyes of a bear, the delicate beauty of a flower, a colorful mushroom and more. They have also depicted beautiful woodland scenes and colorful fields of flowers. They remind us of the many faces of nature and how it offers us joy and beauty to nourish and replenish our souls.
The Sherman Library show will showcase these selected painters and photographers: Christy Bonaiuto, Denise Cassano, John Charles, Phyllis Chadwick, John Clery, Carolyn Cohen, Karen Golden, Linda Hubbard, Jeff Ginsburg, Andy Kimmel, Susan Locke, Doreen O’Connor, John O’Donnell, Masumi O’Donnell, Linda Sperry, Gary Stanford and more!!
