August Light 2026

The Sherman Artists Association is hosting a show “August Light 2026” in the Kent Art Association Building, 21 S. Main St, Kent, Connecticut August 14 – Sept 6, 2026. Forty artists and over 120 paintings, photographs, mixed media, and fused glass have been accepted into this juried show. Awards for the best in each category will be announced at the opening reception on Friday, August 14, from 6 – 8 pm and the show is open from August 14 – Sept 6, 2026. Open hours are: Thursday – Saturday 1 – 5pm, Sunday 12 – 4pm.
The artists have created a feast of landscapes, closeups and abstracts of life, whimsy and beauty. The judges are Elizabeth McDonald and Hacer (Gerardo Gomez-Martinez). Winners will be announced at the opening.
The artists, both established and new, are from Dutchess County, New York, and Fairfield and Litchfield Counties in Connecticut.
