Jeanne Plekon is a plein air landscape artist who paints the beautiful landscapes and interesting local scenes in oil from around the Hudson Valley and neighboring Connecticut. While much of her work includes water features like rivers, lakes, and ponds, she also loves to study the effects of light on architecture, whether on a taco stand or an historic mansion. She has studied with many plein air teachers, taking workshops in California, Mexico, New Hampshire, and New York, and feels she has picked up a range of approaches to plein air painting, which she began practicing when she retired from a career in computer systems 10 years ago.
