The Great Hollow Photographers Club presented a check for $1600 to Chad Seewagen, Executive Director of Great Hollow Nature Preserve on July 29, 2025.   The money was raised by the eighth Great Hollow Juried Art Show 2025 to support Great Hollow’s environmental education, research, and conservation initiatives.

“The Gate House Barn was full of wonderful paintings and photographs again this year.  And a record crowd for the opening on Friday May 16th!  We love having this art show and appreciate the celebration of nature in our area while also raising important funds to support Great Hollow’s mission. We are grateful to the artists, organizers, sponsors, and visitors who made the show a success and wonderful event for the community.” says Chad Seewagen.

The Eighth Annual Great Hollow Juried Painting and Photography Show 2025 was held in-person May 16 – 17, 2024 at the Gate House Barn, Great Hollow Nature Preserve and online May 16 – June 30th on www.shermanartists.org.   Sponsored by the Great Hollow Photographers Club, the show featured selected works of art by over 50 artists that depicted beautiful scenes of nature within and near the preserve.   The show also included children’s artwork by the Great Hollow Camp Programs.  Prizes were donated by local Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford, Sherman, Patterson, and Pawling businesses.  To view the artwork and our sponsors, visit: www.shermanartists.org

The Winners, Honorable Mentions, Jurors and Committee Members will be part of an invitational show at the Sherman Library, August 29 – October 8, 2025.  The opening reception will be held on Friday August 29, 6-8pm.  www.shermanlibrary.org
