Calling all painters and photographers who love nature and would like to participate in the ninth annual Great Hollow Photographers Club Juried Painting and Photography Show. Over the past eight years, we have raised more than $11,500 for Great Hollow Nature Preserve and we hope you will join us for this ninth year of fundraising. Opening Reception is on Friday, May 15, 2026, 6:00β 8:00 pm and all are welcome. The show will continue for viewing and sales Saturday May 16 and Sunday May 17 2026 10 am β 4 pm, in the Gate House Barn at Great Hollow. The show will also be online from May 15 β June 30, 2025. The deadline for submission is midnight on Wednesday April 15, 2026.
Artists are invited to submit up to four (4) digital images of 2-dimensional work for the competition. Accepted media are photographs, paintings, collages, drawings and digitally augmented art. There is no fee to submit. The hanging fee for the show is $15 for each accepted work and the Great Hollow Photographers Club will retain a 25% commission on all works sold during the show. All works must be for sale as the profits from the Art Show support Great Hollow Nature Preserveβs mission of environmental education, research, and conservation.
The artwork should highlight the richness of the rural nature in and around Great Hollow and should not have previously been part of a Great Hollow Art Show. Prizes will be donations from local businesses. Judges for the artwork are Kelly Edwards for painting and Jane Haslam for photography.
This art show is done in collaboration with the Sherman Artists Association, www.shermanartists.org. The prospectus and the show information can be seen on their website plus they provide fiscal and administrative services to the Great Hollow Photographers Club.
