Susan Grisell is an artist whose more than 60 years of painting reflect a lifetime devoted to capturing the true essence of nature. A painter’s painter, Susan’s work is rooted in a deep respect for the natural world and shaped by the influence of her long-time mentor, the esteemed New England impressionist Bernard Lennon. Her paintings are honest, vibrant, and full of life—marked by bold brushwork and true-to-nature color that make each piece pulse with energy and authenticity. 🌺🌳
Susan’s style is a celebration of the natural world, where every brushstroke reflects a personal connection to her subject—whether it’s sunlight filtering through trees, the shimmer of water, or the quiet beauty of a garden in bloom. With her keen eye for light, line, and form, she paints what she sees simply and sincerely, with no pretense or affectation.
