The Sherman Artists Association was born in October 2021 with the town’s first-ever Open Studios, sparking a vibrant creative movement. What began as a small, informal gathering of a dozen local artists meeting in our homes quickly gained momentum through word of mouth, expanding our circle of passionate creatives.

Recognizing the need for a more structured organization, we officially incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit in January 2023, adopting professional accounting systems to support our growth. Today, we continue to foster artistic collaboration and community engagement, meeting monthly at the Sherman Senior Center.
