SUMMARY:“Unrealistic Expectations” Abstract Paintings by Terry Pasquale
DESCRIPTION:May 3 – 26\, 2024 \nArtist Reception Saturday May 4\,  5-7 pm \n\nLAND Gallery \n30 Charles Colman Blvd \nPawling\, NY 12564 \n845-490-2281 \nHours: Thursday 10-4\, Friday 10-6\, Saturday 10-3 and Sunday 11-2 or by appointment \nWebsite: www.landgalleryonline.com \n\nLAND Gallery in Pawling\, New York and the Sherman Artists Association are pleased to announce a new show by Terry Pasquale “Unrealistic Expectations”.  Using color\, metallic paints\, texture and mathematical principles\, Pasquale brings together a composition for the viewer to interpolate in her abstract paintings. The opening reception is Saturday May 4\,  5 – 7pm.   The show is from May 3 – 26\, 2024.   For more information\, visit www.landgalleryonline.com or www.ShermanArtsts.org. \n\nTerry Pasquale prefers to paint in the abstract and let the viewer dictate the personal significance of the work. “I’m fascinated by the different perspectives that people bring to my art. One person sees birds and fish in my paintings\, while \nothers see flowers\, faces\, and medical elements.” Says Pasquale.  Using color\, metallic paints\, texture and mathematical principles like the Fibonacci sequence and the Golden Ratio\, Pasquale brings together a composition.  Each artwork is a balance between planning and accident.  In addition to canvas\, she paints on small leather items\, jewelry and pillows. \n\nPasquale began her art education at the Hudson River Museum and continued it at Pace University\, the American University of Rome\, and the Westchester Art Workshop. She discovered paint pouring during the pandemic and embraced it. Most \nof Paquale’s current work is acrylic abstract with some element of accidental art. She has displayed her paintings with Yonkers Arts\, Arts on the Lake\, the Sherman Artists Association\, the White Silo Winery\, Gallery 25 and the Mamaroneck Artists Guild.   She splits her time between Yonkers\, New York and New Fairfield Connecticut with her husband Tom and cat Poe. \n\nThe Sherman Artists Association is sponsoring the Featured Artist Shows at LAND Gallery which includes the work of some of the most highly regarded photographers and painters in the local area. There is also a curated artisanal gift shop that sells a selection of locally handmade fine art and gifts. The Gallery is located in the heart of the Village of Pawling and regularly organizes photography workshops\, walks and other artistic events.
