DESCRIPTION:6th Annual Sherman Open Studios 2026 \n\n\n\nDecember 5 & 6\, 2026 | 10 AM – 4 PM \n\n\n\nHome Studios plus Pop-up locations: Sherman Senior Center\, Sherman JCC\, and Charter Hall. \n\n\n\nThe Sherman Artists Association is now accepting applications for our 6th Annual Open Studios\, taking place this December 5 & 6. This popular holiday-season event gives Sherman Artists members the opportunity to showcase and sell their work directly to the public. \n\n\n\nHow to Participate \n\n\n\nArtists can choose to either: \n\n\n\n✔️ Open their own Sherman-based home studio \n\n\n\n✔️ Show their work at a pop-up location (grid panels provided) \n\n\n\nAll participating artists must handle their own table/display setup and sales. Work must be original and created by the artist. Pop-up locations will be assigned based on a mix of artists and location capacity. \n\n\n\nThis event is open to all current SAA members. \n\n\n\nBonus Exhibit at Sherman Library \n\n\n\nAs a participant\, you’re also invited to submit 1–2 pieces to our Library Group Show: \n\n\n\n\nOn view: November 20\, 2026 – January 6\, 2027\n\n\n\nOpening Reception: Friday\, November 20 | 6–8 PM\n\n\n\n30% commission applies to library sales.\n\n\n\n\nApplication deadline: Wednesday\, October 7\, 2026 \n\n\n\nEntry fee: Home Studios: $60 and Pop-up locations: $85 \n\n\n\nWe will use images and descriptions for jurying and publicity. \n\n\n\nAcceptance Letter: October 12\, 2026 \n\n\n\nPayment due by October 19\, 2026 \n\n\n\n\nApply here

SUMMARY:Happy Acres  - Call for Artists
DESCRIPTION:Farm Day is a great opportunity to introduce more people to the Sherman Artists Association\, showcase our members’ talent\, and support our 2026 fundraising efforts. This year\, our goal is to raise $1\,000 for the SAA through an art raffle—and we need your help! \n\n\n\nDONATE ARTWORK TO OUR FARM DAY RAFFLE \n\n\n\nSAA members are invited to donate one piece of artwork to be included in our Farm Day fundraising raffle. We hope to have at least 10 works of art available for visitors to win. \n\n\n\nArtwork should be inspired by farm life\, the countryside\, rural landscapes\, animals\, nature\, or a similar theme. We welcome both 2D and 3D artwork. Two-dimensional artwork must be wired and ready to hang and may not exceed 30 x 30 inches. \n\n\n\nArtwork Submission Deadline: Sunday\, September 20 at midnight \n\n\n\nTo participate\, send email to  shermanartists@gmail.com with: \n\n\n\nYour name \n\n\n\nArtwork title \n\n\n\nMedium \n\n\n\nSize \n\n\n\nValue \n\n\n\nAn image of the artwork \n\n\n\nWe need this information in advance to prepare publicity materials and artwork labels. \n\n\n\nEach donated artwork will have its own raffle ticket container\, allowing visitors to choose which piece they would like a chance to win. Tickets will be $5 each or 10 tickets for $40. We will draw winners at the end of Farm Day and notify them afterward. Winners do not need to be present to win. \n\n\n\nParticipating artists should plan to drop off their artwork at Happy Acres on Saturday\, October 3 between 9:00 and 10:00 AM. \n\n\n\nWE ALSO NEED VOLUNTEERS! \n\n\n\nFarm Day is a team effort\, and we’ll need SAA members to help us run our booth\, sell raffle tickets\, monitor the artwork\, assist with the youth art project\, and set up and break down our activation. \n\n\n\nShift 1 | 9:30 AM–1:00 PM \n\n\n\nWe need four volunteers to help with setup and\, once Farm Day opens\, sell raffle tickets\, monitor the raffle\, and support the youth art project. \n\n\n\nShift 2 | 1:00–4:30 PM \n\n\n\nWe need four volunteers to sell raffle tickets\, monitor the raffle\, assist with the youth art project\, and help dismantle our setup at the end of the event. \n\n\n\nWe will also need help Saturday morning from 8:00–9:00 AM transporting and setting up two tents and nine art panels for the raffle display. \n\n\n\nVolunteer Sign-Up \n\n\n\nWhether you donate a piece of artwork\, volunteer for a shift\, help with setup\, or simply stop by and support the event\, we would love to have you be part of Farm Day. \n\n\n\nThank you for continuing to support the Sherman Artists Association and help us share our members’ incredible talent with our community. \n\n\n\nWe hope to see you at Happy Acres! \n\n\n\nWarmly\, \n\n\n\nSherman Artists Association
