DESCRIPTION:Online Exhibition Page Here\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n2025 Great Hollow Juried Painting and Photography Show \n\n\n\n\nSponsored by the Great Hollow Photographers Club \n\n\n\nand held at the Great Hollow Gate House Barn \n\n\n\nGreat Hollow Nature Preserve & Ecological Research Center\,  \n\n\n\n225 State Route 37\, New Fairfield\, CT  \n\n\n\n\nOpening Night Reception:  Friday\, May 16\, 2025 from 6 pm to 8 pm \n\n\n\nPublic Exhibition: May 17 and May 18\, 2025\, from 10 am to 4 pm daily \n\n\n\nOnline Exhibition: May 16 to June 30\, 2025  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe Great Hollow Juried Art Show fundraiser for Great Hollow Nature Preserve is opening Friday May 16\, 6-8pm and then Saturday May 17 and Sunday May 18\, 10 – 4pm.  Painters and photographers who love nature have created over a hundred and thirty pieces of artwork celebrating nature in and around Great Hollow Nature Preserve.  Sponsored by the Great Hollow Photographers Club\, this is the eighth annual art show fundraiser for Great Hollow Nature Preserve.   The opening Reception is on Friday\, May 16\, 2025\, 6:00– 8:00 pm with refreshments and prizes will be announced.   All are welcome.  The show will continue for viewing and sales Saturday May 17 and Sunday May 18\, 2025 10 am – 4 pm\, in the Gate House Barn at Great Hollow. SUMMARY: Plein Air Painting Series
DESCRIPTION:Plus Art Associations around Candlewood Lake are sponsoring a Plein Air Painting Series Begins June 7and through the Summer Months \n\n\n\n\n\nThe Candlewood League of Artists/Candlewood Arts Fund of greaterNew Fairfield\, the artists at Gallery25 in New Milford\, the ShermanAssociation of Artists\, and the Richter Association for the Arts in Danburyhave put together a series of outdoor art sessions. \n\n\n\nThis “Summer Plein Air Art Series” begins on Saturday\, June 7 with a“how to” instructive art demonstration by professional painter DianeDubreuil.  \n\n\n\nFrom 1-3pm at the New Fairfield Library\, Diane will recommendhandy (and lightweight) art supplies for use outdoors. She will also shareher award-winning techniques for capturing a scene in a limited time frame. \n\n\n\nThen every other Tuesday morning\, beginning June 17 and goingthrough August 19\, you and other adventurous artists can meet from 9:30-12:30pm with your portable easels\, sketch pads or canvases\, stools\, sunhats\, water\, sunscreen\, (maybe bug spray?!) … and paint or draw until thelight changes or it’s time for lunch!Here are the dates and locations for the summer sessions:–June 17 at Hubble House and the Parsonage in New Fairfield-July 8 at Tarrywile Park and Mansion in Danbury-July 22 at Harrybrooke Park in New Milford-August 5 at Deer Pond Farm Audubon Sanctuary in Sherman-August 19 at Squantz Pond State Park in New FairfieldRain dates are the following Wednesdays\, same time and location.The series will culminate in an Art Show of the participants’ outdoorwork at the Richter House in Danbury on Saturday\, September 6 from 3-6pm.

DESCRIPTION:Artists\, join us in celebrating the fourth Sherman ARTFEST 2025\, sponsored by the Sherman Artists Association (SAA)\, held in Charter Hall (Above the Firehouse) and the Town Green (by the IGA and Firehouse) in Sherman.  Last year\, we had the show in this location\, which was very successful.
