SUMMARY:“The Watercolor Garden - Watercolor Florals by Liz Rosiello @ LAND Gallery
DESCRIPTION:“The Watercolor Garden  – Watercolor Florals by Liz Rosiello @ LAND Gallery in Pawling\, NY \nSeptember 5 – 29\, 2024 \nArtist Reception Saturday September 7\, 5 – 7 pm \n  \nLAND Gallery \n30 Charles Colman Blvd \nPawling\, NY 12564 \n845-490-2281 \nHours: Thursday 10-4\, Friday 10-6\, Saturday 10-3 and Sunday 11-2 or by appointment \nWebsite: www.landgalleryonline.com \n  \nLAND Gallery in Pawling\, New York and the Sherman Artists Association are pleased to announce a new show “The Watercolor Garden” – Watercolors by Liz Rosiello.  Come experience her paintings that portray the intrinsic beauty of flowers that have caught her eye in her garden and travels.  The opening reception is Saturday\, September 7\, 5-7 pm.   The show is from September 5 – 29\,  2024.   For more information\, visit www.landgalleryonline.com or www.ShermanArtists.org. \n  \n“My goal in creating my artwork is to capture the intrinsic beauty of nature. I am inspired by her colors\, textures\, shapes and nuances. I want my viewer to feel a sense of peace and happiness that transports them to a lovely spring day!” Says Liz Rosiello. \n  \nAs a young artist\, Rosiello attended the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan\, graduating with a BFA and Art Education dual degree.  She worked multiple creative jobs and founded art-related businesses\, such as A Co-Op Art Gallery in South Norwalk and Fine Art Picture Framing. In addition\, she was a quilt teacher for 15 years\, teaching adults of all levels at local quilt shops. Life interrupted her artistic pursuits\, as so many artists can relate. Raising a family and the need for a stable income\, overpowered her and left little time for art until the pandemic of 2020 when she found herself evaluating her life and dreams. When asked how she went back to art\, she said\, “I simply started drawing flowers in my garden in the spring of 2020. I found joy in creating and continued to draw and paint daily.” \n  \nRosiello is a member of the Sherman Artists Association\, NWCT Art Council\, Art Alliance of Woodbury\, SCAN – Society of Creative Arts of Newtown and the American Watercolor Society. In the last year Liz has demonstrated watercolor painting at SCAN\, the Shelton Arts League and has taught watercolor classes at the West Hartford Art League and in her Studio in Brookfield.  Her home is in New Milford Connecticut. \n  \nThe Sherman Artists Association is sponsoring the Featured Artist Shows at LAND Gallery which includes the work of some of the most highly regarded photographers and artisans in the local area with a curated selection of locally handmade fine art and gifts. The Gallery is located in the heart of the Village of Pawling and does photography workshops\, walks and other artistic events. Find us at: 30 Charles Colman Blvd\, Pawling\, New York 12564.
