ArtFest at the Sherman JCC – August 5th, 6th & 7th, 2022
ArtFest is an in-person art show held at the JCC this past year in the month of August. The event started Friday evening with live music and refreshments and continued on Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 4 pm. All artists were responsible for displaying, setting up, and selling their work. The Jewish Community and the Sherman Artists Association collaborated and worked together on this fabulous event.

Sherman Senior Center Looking for artists
The Sherman Senior Center is looking for artists to demonstrate or provide a talk. For more info:  Contact Denise Schlessinger.

Sherman Library – Art Exhibition
Every few months, the Sherman Library, as part of an effort to promote cultural enrichment, features the works of a selected local artist. Over the course of a year, many different types of art can be seen, such as traditional, abstract, watercolors, oils, pastels, and photography. Not only is the artwork enjoyed by library visitors…it’s for sale. In fact, a percentage of any sale is donated by the artist to the Sherman Library. The Library will hang your artwork for you. If you are interested in showing your art at the Sherman Library please contact via email:

Open Studio Tour – December 3 & 4
The Sherman Artist Association is looking for artists interested in opening their studio or exhibiting at a pop-up location. If interested in exhibiting or opening up your studio, email the Sherman Artist Association. To participate, the fee is $50 for members and $65 for nonmembers, which helps the association with the costs of the brochures, signs, and advertisements. Take a look at 2021 participating artists.

Art Tag Sale
Many artists have supplies they no longer use or art they tried but did not enjoy. The Sherman Artist Association would like to put on an Art Tag Sale. We are interested in doing this event with a book sale or other activity. Have a thought; please contact Linda. We anticipate that individuals could find everything they need to try an art project without spending a fortune. At meager prices, we will offer painting supplies, canvasses, frames, photography equipment, fabric, yarn, jewelry-making supplies, displays, and lighting!
